These events are free to the public, as are all events at the Rio Salado Audubon Center. 

  • The 110 acre Riparian Preserve offers students access to a wide variety of environmental studies. Our unique setting provides opportunities to participate in fun and educational experiences not possible in the classroom.

    All activities at the Preserve are correlated to the current Arizona State Standards and are cross-curricular in their approach.

  • Join Willow Bend to learn more about solar energy and ways to bring this cutting-edge science into K-12 classrooms! This full-day workshop will introduce the science of electricity and photovoltaic systems through hands-on activities, interactive games, and lectures / discussions hosted by Ryan Holtz, aerospace engineer and owner of Prometheus Solar. Participants will also receive activities to do with students of all ages, a so...lar-cooked lunch, and .75 continuing education credits!
