  • Questing is a natural history scavenger hunt designed to connect people with the history and culture of a particular area.

    Stop by Willow Bend Mondays-Fridays from 9:00AM - 4:00PM to take part in this exciting, informative adventure!

  • Enjoy amazing artwork made by Flagstaff students & purchase arts & crafts by local artists!

    Every month a different school will be featured, with an exhibit showcasing a particular theme and medium, and if possible, a small performance by the featured school! 

    A recycled art activity will be provided by Willow Bend for any interested visitors, as will snacks.

  • On the first Friday of each month, swing by for a tour of how we “walk the talk” with our building, BioBug, rainwater harvesting, and more!

     

  • On the first Friday of each month, meet on the corner of E. Butler Ave. and S. Babbitt Dr. for a behind-the-scenes green tour of recycling in our community!

     

  • Community members are invited to learn more about fire in our ecosystem through this hands-on event. To honor the efforts of our community due to the fires last summer, 100 trees will be planted by participants.

  • In celebration of Earth Day, a special tour of the Recycling Center will be provided by Willow Bend staff. Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour to learn more about Flagstaff’s recycling program!

  • The NAU Blue Key Honor Society invites you to participate in a 8k Fun Run/5k Walk benefiting Willow Bend!  The run/walk will begin and end at the turf fields on the southern end of the NAU campus, across from the forestry building.  FREE for kids under 10 with a registered adult.

  • Fire Ecology:

    Are forest fires always a bad thing?

    We'll look at the role of fire in our northern Arizona ponderosa pine ecosystem and how land managers use fire to maintain and create wildlife habitat.

Support Service Resource

  • The University of Arizona's Santa Rita Experimental Range is an outdoor laboratory for ecological and land management discoveries.  The facility has lodging to support research and educational uses.
