Arizona Water Awareness Month

Dear Water Conservation Colleague,

This year we will celebrate Water Awareness Month (WAM) in April by actively promoting statewide water conservation activities, events, and resources.  Our “call to action” is for Arizona residents to use water more efficiently, become aware of water conservation activities in their region, and know where to turn for information and resources.

Arizonans will learn about WAM 2011 by accessing an interactive, web-based calendar and information hub, www.waterawarenessmonth.com.  At the end of March, we will begin to publicize this calendar statewide through the use of Twitter, Facebook, e-mail and web links. We are counting on you, as a water expert, to take part in celebrating and promoting Water Awareness Month.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Promote, promote, promote! Reply to this email and we will send you everything you need to promote WAM 2011. Since everyone is busy these days, we’ve prepared widgets, materials for your website, and other forms of communication to get WAM out to your customers, co-workers, and friends. There are plenty of opportunities built into the materials to personalize them for your own audience.  Whether you choose to communicate with your connections daily, weekly or only once – we’ve got something for you. Help make WAM viral so we can make an impact in Arizona.

Contribute, contribute, contribute! To truly make this a statewide effort, we need your input.  If you know of water conservation activities in your locale, or resources related to any of the daily topics described on the WAM calendar, we want to hear from you.  Get on the water awareness map with the rest of your colleaguessimply visit http://www.waterawarenessmonth.com/contributing_partner.htmland provide information on activities, events and resources.  While you are there, you will be able to check out the information we have assembled so far, and make a pledge to help promote water awareness.

We look forward to partnering with you to make this year’s Water Awareness Month the best yet.  If you have any questions, please let us know.  You can contact us at: admin@waterawarenessmonth.com
