      Grand Canyon, at your fingertips!

Do you know kids feeling cooped up this summer? The Canyon Field School team would like to be part of the solution. Follow the link below with your grade 4-8 students, and explore the fascinating geology of Grand Canyon National Park!

Subsequent curriculum-based posts will include the Canyon’s fascinating ecology, human history, and world-renowned dark skies. We can’t think of a better way to bring the wonders of the world’s most-famous chasm to your home.

The “Canyon Field School @ Home” series is an extension of our day tours and overnight camping program, which has been suspended in 2020 due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The Canyon Field School is an innovative, STEAM-based environmental education program based on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. This collaboration between the Grand Canyon Conservancy and the National Park Service is designed to inspire stewardship of natural spaces. We accomplish this through field investigations, group projects, hikes, and other inquiry-based learning activities.

Once on-site programming is resumed in 2021, Canyon Field School @ Home will continue as a pre-and-post visit teaching tool. Thanks for checking us out, and please help us spread the news! Click here to begin your adventure:
