      Pima and Santa Cruz County K -12th Grade Teachers

      7:30 -4:00 daily
      What is the story of the Santa Cruz River watershed, past, present, and future?
      Follow the Santa Cruz River north, learning from local experts in Nogales, Tumacacori, CanoaRanch and Tucson’s Mission Gardens about the role of the river in our region’s history, hydrology, and culture.
      Systems thinking frameworks and tools will be highlighted demonstrating how students of all ages can build and deepen their understanding of any subject. Follow-up sessions and homework will allow for time for collaborating with other educators and developing a plan for how you’ll apply your learning in the classroom.
      February 21st: Begin and end at the University of Arizona.
      February 22nd: Meet at CanoaRanch in Green Valley and end at Mission Gardens in Tucson.
      Receive 21 professional development hours and a $150 stipend on completion of two follow-up workshop webinars.
